Margot Cheel is an award winning photographer, pilot, and arts educator. She invites you to see the world from a unique perspective.
“What color, mood or message would you like surrounding you? Art can do it …soothe, inspire, inform or question. It can open you to new vistas and understanding. That happened for me when I took my first introductory fight and saw the earth below. The view was exhilarating and I was hooked. Soon after, earning my pilot’s license, I brought my passion for flying to my love of the arts. What better way to showcase what’s below than from a view above. It can reveal beauty or fragility; change or connection.”
Margot is an arts graduate of Middlebury College, founder of Twin Willows Craft Center (Ottawa, Canada), a licensed Private Pilot and New England Governor of The Ninety-Nines- the International Women Pilots Organization founded by Amelia Earhart. She is a professional member and past President of the New England Chapter of ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers).

Her photography has been chosen for juried exhibitions throughout New England, and has appeared in numerous publications and on TV (Boston’s Channel 5 – “Chronicle” (see Press) She has published two Aerial Photography books. “Sea & Sand from the Sky” with quotes from aviators and “What Do You See? Finding Shapes from the Sky” with a story line about discovery for all ages.
From Margot’s Newsletter:
“How would you like to remember the area you love? There can be all kinds of unique aerial views you didn’t know existed: relationships & connections or disconnects – a true map, a historical recording. Perhaps you are drawn to the abstract qualities in the landscape– the colors and patterns in Nature’s designs revealed from above. You can choose from our stock collection or place an order for your special place. Your assignment can be joined with others for cost savings on our next flight.“
